Tom Pigeon is a husband and wife design duo from the small village of Cellardyke, in Fife. Working across both 2D and 3D mediums they cite the environment of the fishing village in which they live in as a large part of their inspiration. Their work features bold, stylised patterns and block shapes to create visually striking pieces.
This strong use of colour along with interesting material choices such as the use of formica in many of their jewellery pieces hints towards inspiration from the 50s & 60s with many of their prints having a slight pop art influence.
As well as undertaking the design, manufacture and retailing of their own work Tom Pigeon have also been involved with some interesting commissions and have an impressive client list which includes the Barbican and the V&A.
