A short film about movement: from the engineered Swiss mechanics that power our watches to the revolutions of principal dancers Sophie Martin and Christopher Harrison.
Working in partnership with world-renowned Scottish Ballet, the film was directed by videographers James & Charles Stapleton of Raspberry & Jam (Cereal Magazine, Four Seasons, Perfumer H). Consultation and profession input was provided from Scottish Ballet's artistic director, Christopher Hampson.
An original score, commissioned by Instrmnt, was created by John Twells (Managing Editor, FACT Magazine) and producer Kaan Erbay, evoking the surreal nostalgia of a child's jewellery box.
The end product is an abstract piece that balances the dancers' calming revolutions with the precise, mechanical nature of Instrmnt's design output.
